Who We Are
Since April 2008 the Urban Play Rangers have been working with children and young people throughout Reading to:
* Encourage children to make more use of parks and open spaces
* Encourage children to be physically active and creative
* Provide positive role models in local communities
The success of the programme over the last three years has seen us engage with over 8,000 children, young people and adults from across Reading. The team offer a variety of different play activities from 0-5 big soft play sessions to specialist archery sessions to go kart racing. We run free open sessions during the week, whilst also running sessions within schools, nurseries and children's centres.
This website is designed to give you an idea of the type of activities we can run, let you know where they are running and also provide photos of events we've recently been to. We hope you enjoy browsing and keep checking back to see what's happening during the year, especially for our open sessions.
Reading currently has three Urban Play Rangers. Each Ranger has a specialist field, which they work within. All three Rangers have vast experience working with children from 0-16 years old. As well as this all of the Rangers are first aid trained and have fully enhanced CRB's.
